Admission to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

Information for international students – application for study in academic year 2017/2018

Study application (including all necessary documents) should be submitted by 31. 3. 2017

Students may study in:

  1. Czech language – no tuition fee
    Certification of Czech language knowledge (the level B1) must be provided - this document must be issued by one of the certified schools. Students may also take the examination at the Institute of Applied Language Studies at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. In special cases, the Dean may waive this requirement.

  1. English language – tuition fee 4,000 Euros/year
    An active knowledge of English language is essential

 

Bachelor study programme B2301 Mechanical Engineering (we do not open it in English in the next academic year)

All students are accepted to B2301 Study programme. At the end of the first year they will select their specialization (decision about the acceptance for the specialization depends on study results).
Applicants for the study in bachelor study programmes are evaluated acording to their previous study results.

International students must provide with their study application the following:

  • An officially certified copy of acknowledgement that the student’s qualifications are equivalent to those issued in the Czech Republic (issued by the relevant regional authority)

  • Students studying in Czech language must provide a certificate of their knowledge of Czech (B1 level).

 

Master study programme N2301 Mechanical Engineering

The study programme is designed for technical school graduates. Students from non-technical schools or non-technical Bc.study programmes must fulfil additional requirements during their master studies. Applicants are accepted for a particular study programme according to their previous study results.

International students, (with the title Bachelor or Master), must provide with their study application the following:

  • an officially certified copy of acknowledgement that the student’s qualifications are equivalent to the Czech titles ‘bakalář’ (Bc.) or ‘inženýr’ (Ing.). This is issued by universities offering study programmes with content similar to the University of West Bohemia – contact our International Office.

  • an officially certified translation of all examinations and results from previous Bachelor study
