The world around us is changing. We are changing. But even in the middle of a time full of change, we always want to stay on top. We must draw stability from the past, while responding to the changing present. Our task is to monitor the status and development of all the activities at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and to ensure the quality of their outputs.

In April 2014, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen was successfully certified according to the international standard ISO 9001 2015 through the ISO/IWA 2:2003 directive.

It should be mentioned that although this certification has been a standard in industry for many years, in the field of education, certified faculties and universities still represent a small elite club with few members. In addition to harmonizing the Faculty's internal processes and regulations, the certificate also represents a clear commitment from the entire management to continuous improvement, and, as auditors like to say, "voluntarily undergo the torture of audits and inspections".

Now it has been more than 6 years since the introduction of the quality system according to ISO 9001:2015 and the Faculty still successfully holds this certificate.
